“Halloween Kills” (2021) is a horror film directed by David Gordon Green, serving as a direct sequel to the 2018 reboot of the “Halloween” franchise. This installment continues the terrifying saga of Michael Myers, the iconic masked killer, and his relentless pursuit of Laurie Strode and the residents of Haddonfield.
The film picks up immediately where the 2018 “Halloween” left off, with Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer), and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) believing they have finally defeated Michael Myers by trapping him in a burning house. However, their relief is short-lived as Michael escapes the inferno and resumes his killing spree, more unstoppable and brutal than ever.
As the body count rises, the townspeople of Haddonfield, led by survivors of Michael’s original 1978 massacre, band together to hunt down and end his reign of terror once and for all. This includes familiar faces such as Tommy Doyle (Anthony Michael Hall), Lindsey Wallace (Kyle Richards), and Marion Chambers (Nancy Stephens), who return to confront the nightmare that has haunted them for decades.
