“Hard Target 2” (2016)
is a direct-to-video action film directed by Roel Reiné and a sequel to the 1993 film “Hard Target” directed by John Woo. This film stars Scott Adkins, Robert Knepper, and Temuera Morrison, and follows a new storyline that centers around the concept of “human hunting,” a theme explored in the original movie.
In “Hard Target 2,” the protagonist is a former MMA fighter named Wes “The Jailor” Baylor (Scott Adkins), who is now working as a mercenary. He finds himself drawn into a dangerous game where wealthy clients hunt humans for sport. After being lured to a remote island, Wes becomes the target of the hunt and must use his combat skills and survival instincts to escape and seek revenge against those who set him up.
