“The Magnificent Seven” (2016) is a Western film directed by Antoine Fuqua. It is a remake of the classic 1960 film of the same name, which itself was a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” (1954). In response to Bogue’s oppressive rule and violence, a diverse group of seven gunslingers is hired to protect the town and its inhabitants.The group is led by Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), a bounty hunter and lawman, and includes a variety of skilled individuals such as a sharpshooter (Chris Pratt), a tracker (Ethan Hawke), and a rogue outlaw (Vincent D’Onofrio). Together, they prepare to defend Rose Creek against Bogue’s army and restore justice.
