Eastern Promises

Hoping to find the family of the newborn baby, Anna inadvertently becomes entangled in the dangerous underworld.
At the heart of this underworld is Nikolai Luzhin (played by Viggo Mortensen), a mysterious and efficient driver who works for the powerful Vory V Zakone (a Russian criminal organization). Nikolai serves under Semyon (played by Armin Mueller-Stahl), the seemingly kind yet ruthless head of the organization, and Kirill (played by Vincent Cassel), Semyon’s reckless son. As Anna digs deeper into the girl’s past, she uncovers a world of violence, corruption, and secrets, with Nikolai playing a crucial role in the tension between protecting her and serving his own deadly ambitions.
