Riddick 4:
Furya brings Vin Diesel back as the unstoppable antihero, Richard B. Riddick, and dives deep into his origins on the planet Furya. The story takes place after the events of Riddick (2013), with Riddick now determined to find his homeworld and confront the mysteries of his bloodline.
The trailer opens with Riddick in deep space, his gravelly voiceover stating, “They tried to wipe us out… but Furyans don’t die easy.” It transitions to a scene of him landing on the desolate, war-ravaged planet Furya, a place he only vaguely remembers from his childhood. The visuals show the planet’s harsh, barren landscapes, dotted with ruins of once-great cities and fierce storms, giving it a foreboding, apocalyptic feel.
As Riddick navigates the dangerous terrain, he encounters a small group of surviving Furyans, battle-hardened and living in constant fear of a greater threat. Among them is Dahlia (played by a new actress), a fierce Furyan warrior who distrusts outsiders but recognizes something unique in Riddick. She reveals that the planet has been under siege by an ancient race of powerful, bio-engineered beings called the Necros, who have been hunting down the remaining Furyans for centuries.
The true twist is revealed when Riddick discovers that these Necros have a personal vendetta against his bloodline. They are not only exterminating Furyans, but also searching for the “Chosen One” among them—Riddick—believed to hold the key to awakening an ancient Furyan power capable of turning the tide of the war. This sets Riddick on a journey to uncover his hidden abilities, tied to his primal Furyan nature.
