Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) is a fantasy-adventure film directed by Thor Freudenthal. It is a sequel to Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) and is based on the novel of the same name by Rick Riordan. The film continues the adventures of Percy Jackson and his friends as they navigate the challenges of the Greek gods and mythical creatures.
The story follows Percy Jackson (played by Logan Lerman), a demigod and the son of Poseidon, as he embarks on a new quest to find the mythical Golden Fleece. The fleece has the power to save their home, Camp Half-Blood, from a growing threat. The camp is in danger of being overtaken by Kronos, the Titan Lord, who seeks to return to power.
Percy, along with his friends Annabeth Chase (played by Alexandra Daddario), Grover Underwood (played by Brandon T. Jackson), and a new ally, Clarisse La Rue (played by Leven Rambin), must journey through the Sea of Monsters (the Bermuda Triangle) to locate the fleece and stop the rising threat. They face various mythical creatures and challenges along the way, including the vengeful sorceress Circe and a giant Cyclops named Polyphemus.
