Ladyhawke is a 1985 fantasy adventure film directed by Richard Donner. 
The movie is set in medieval Europe and tells the story of a young thief named Phillipe Gaston, played by Matthew Broderick, who escapes from the dungeons of the cruel Bishop of Aquila. 
During his escape, he becomes entangled in the lives of two mysterious lovers, Captain Etienne Navarre (played by Rutger Hauer) and Lady Isabeau d’Anjou (played by Michelle Pfeiffer).

The curse keeps them apart, unable to be together in their human forms. The film follows their quest to break the curse with the help of Phillipe, who becomes their reluctant ally.
