U.S. Marine Corps Captain Brad Paxton lives in New York City with his wife, Kate, an archaeologist, and their daughter. Haunted by his service in Syria, Bradβs life takes a dramatic turn when Kate is kidnapped during an archaeological mission in Morocco. She, along with French-Algerian archaeologist Jean Rashidi, is taken by local insurgents who accidentally cross the border into Algeria.
